Pergasingan Hill Budget Package
“Our Pergasingan Hill Budget Package is designed for people just wishing to climb Pergasingan Hill, but not wanting to do sightseeing beforehand or camp overnight. We provide transport from North Lombok (Bangsal Harbour, Sengiggi, Mataram), guides, refreshments and lunch. Should you wish to spend the night camping under the stars on Bukit Pergasingan please see our Pergasingan Hill Deluxe Package. If you are interested in seeing some of Lombok’s beautiful waterfalls, traditional villages and coffee gardens prior to climbing Pergasingan hill, we suggest you check-out our signature Lombok Explorer Package”
Lombok is home to many natural wonders including the towering Mount Rinjani, the famous “Pink Beach” at Tangsi, Tui Kelep & Sendang Gile waterfalls & the epic surf break of Desert Point (to name but a few!). The beaches in South Lombok near Kuta are some of the finest in the world, and the Gili Isles has a global reputation due to the laid-back atmosphere, world-class scuba diving, & vibrant party scene. One area that is often overlooked by tourists visiting Lombok is the Sembalun Valley (situated in Lombok Timur / East Lombok). Nested amongst surrounding hills, Sembalun village lays on the north eastern flank of Mt Rinjani. It is an incredibly fertile area, with many vegetables and fruits being grown in the region. The beauty of this area of Lombok has recently come to the attention of travel magazines and bloggers, who climb Pergasingan Hill to photograph the spectacular panoramic views.
Bukit Pergasingan (Pergasingan Hill)
Pergasingan Hill (or “Bukit Pergasingan” in Bahasar Indonesia) is one of Lombok’s most photographed sites. A mecca for photographers, aspiring Instagram stars, and travel bloggers, Bukit Pergasingan overlooks the flat-bottomed valley of Sembalun, East Lombok. The different coloured fields that spread across the valley floor below look like an intricate tapestry from the high vantage point at Bukit Pergasingan campsite. Whilst climbing Pergasingan Hill you may be lucky enough to spot an eagle circling high above, or other native wildlife. The hike up Pergasingan Hill is steep to begin with, but levels-off when you reach the ridge-line. Unlike the considerably more challenging Mt Rinjani, Bukit Pergasingan can be climbed by anyone with a moderate level of fitness, as there is plenty of time to take breaks.
The Bukit Pergasingan Ultralite package is designed for travellers who want to experience the magical views of Pergasingan Hill and Sembalun valley, but are on a tight schedule. Unlike our Bukit Pergasingan Deluxe or Lombok Explorer packages, you will not be sightseeing elsewhere beforehand, or camping on Pergasingan Hill for the night. Instead we’ll transport you from our office in Senaru (or elsewhere if you use our budget transport service) to the start of the trek. From there we aim to climb the hill (up and down) in 4 hours. How long it takes will depend on your fitness level, and how long you stop to admire the amazing views of Mt Rinjani & Sembalun. We provide a guide who carries a picnic lunch, bottled water, and other refreshments. We also cover the entrance fee that is required by the local authorities.
Although we recommend our other signature packages (Bukit Pergasingan Deluxe & Lombok Explorer Package) for a more rounded day-trip, we understand some people would just like to climb Pergasingan Hill and move-on within a day. If you think the Bukit Pergasingan Hero (Ultralite) is the package for you, or if you have more questions regarding Pergasingan Hill or our other day-trips, please contact us through our online booking portal. We look forward to meeting you, and creating some wonderful memories on Bukit Pergasingan!
We offer considerable discounts for group bookings – please contact us through our website for a quote.
